So many Christian wives are clueless as to how powerful the role of a wife is, more so her role as an Armour-Bearer. Women connote power with success, and sadly, even their ability to make their husbands follow what they want. Each time you mention having a “gentle and quiet” spirit as a requirement for being a wife, there is always an uproar, resistance, or rebellion. Very few have a good grasp of the power of the queen, just like this piece in the chess game.
Your husband’s anger, bad behavior, unjust ways, immoral acts, and anything evil in him is rooted deep down inside of him. It may have come from his parents, how he was treated, his hurts, and the abuse he has been through. In short, what he is manifesting to you that hurts you is an indicator of what is going on inside of him that he has to heal from.
The issue of insecurity is rooted to the fear of being abandoned, hurt, or rejected. The issue of jealousy is rooted to the fear of being betrayed. In short, all our issues are connected to fear – whether it is fear of the future or fear of what happened in the past.
We all know that it is easier to operate in the heart of flesh. This is our nature! And this is why to operate in the heart of the spirit takes a lot of discipline and self-control, which are actually the fruits of the Spirit. This means that the more we train our hearts to follow our spirits, the more disciplined we will even become; thus, the easier it will get.
Each of us has a different story. We may have common problems and issues that we are dealing with but the details are still uniquely ours. Your husband is different from mine, and so it follows that my strategy may be different from yours.
Wives who do not have a vision rely on their husbands for fulfillment and affirmation. Even their Christianity leaves them empty because there is no purpose for their faith at all. Going to church is not a vision. Being in the worship team is not a vision. Doing outreach is not a vision. All these are just activities that can give you something to do for God. A vision is bigger than these things.
